We Upgraded Our CMS! Here Are Some Of The New Features

Our content management system was developed to give every day users the ability to manage the content on their website. A text editor called a WYSIWYG(what you see is what you get), you can add rich html content with links, images, ordered lists and much more. Creating pages on your website is like creating a word document! After analyzing how users use the content management system, we came up with some features that make the system easier and more powerful for you.

Google Analytics Integration

Basically, Google Analytics gives you data about your visitors including how they found your website(search engine, referral, etc), what keywords were used, how long they stayed on a page, what pages were visited and much much more. We have integrated Google Analytics into our CMS, so now you can view analytical information about your website without leaving your website!

In a hurry? Need to add a new product right now? No problem! The quick add feature allows you to add content to your site with just 1 click. From any page within the CMS, you can click the quick add drop down menu, select what you want to add, and you will be brought to that page.

Search Engine Optimization(SEO) Upgrade

We've found that most users don't understand or use the meta data section of the content management system. Meta data includes a page title(what your see in the top of the browser window or on the tab), a meta description(a short excerpt of what the page is about), and meta keywords(important words and phrases associated with the web page). We made adding meta data even easier by auto generating it!

Auto Generated Meta Data

Your meta title should match the title of the page. When you enter the title for your page, a meta title and link are automatically generated to take a step out of adding content to your website. Meta descriptions and keywords are probably the most time consuming parts of a web page and we've taken the time out. When you create your web page, after you add text to your page, an excerpt will be creating and keywords and phrases will be automatically generated so you don't have to take the time to come up with them yourself. You can still add to and edit your meta data as well.

Improved Contact Management

In the old system, you can view contact for submissions, but in order to reply you have to copy the email address and paste it into your own program. That's gone. With the new content management system, you can reply right from your website. Simply click the "Contacts" link on the left hand side of the page and click reply to reply to a contact form submission. Want to get a copy of your message? Simply add your email address to the "also send to" field and your reply will also be sent to you.
